QUINTA DE OLIVEIRA is a wonderful Equestrian Experience in the North of Portugal, with the MAGNIFICENT LUSITANO HORSES, AND EXPERT INSTRUCTORS.



At Quinta da Oliveira there are excellent horses, most of them original LUSITANO and perfect for beginners and all the way to world class riders.  The instructors are fully qualified & experienced and include English speaking.


At Quinta da Oliveira is set in its own wonderful grounds including a chapel, swimming pool & Onsite Self Catering Accommodation.

Equine facilities are first class with access to two indoor arenas, outdoor arena & Lunge Pen.

Lessons: 60 individual/ 45 minutes-1 hour 

Trail Rides: 30 euros per hour/per rider.

This programme features one dressage lessons in the morning and one trail ride in the afternoon. Dressage Only

This choice of two private lessons a day will enable you to truly indulge your passion for riding.

Working the seat on the lunge

Working a horse correctly on the lunge (using different equipment depending on the horses difficulties and level of training; performing several exercises)

Other Information

Airport Transfers

Transfers from Porto airport to farm or from farm to Porto airport is €25

 All Prices including VAT.

All the participants should be at least elementary riders, should have an age over 10 years old and a weight under 90Kg. (The rides are aimed at intermediate riders and above who are comfortable, balanced and secure in the saddle and able to control a well-schooled horse in open country at a walk, trot and canter.)

Pace will always be defined by the guide, depending on the groups ability for the itinerarys conditions and tailored to the least able rider.

Our horses are reliable, healthy and in good physical conditions. All stops are predefined and the welfare of horses, staff and visitors ensured.

The stud reserves the right to decide not to carry out the program in its entirety or in any parts, such as in case of adverse weather periods, accidents or unpredictable situations of danger in the itinerary not adapted to riders ability.
